Woman strips as she flees police

Youngtown police officers were a bit puzzled when an El Mirage woman accused of rear-ending another vehicle ran from them when they arrived, stripping her clothes off as she fled.
It all started with when 44-year-old Anne Pollard hit a man's vehicle on Friday the 13th and he tried to pull over to the side of the road, Youngtown police Lt. Duren Robertson said.
When he got out of the car to call police, Pollard apparently started hitting the man and screaming at him.
She also tried to cover his mouth as he attempted to talk to a 911 dispatcher, Robertson said.
When Youngtown police and Maricopa County sheriff's deputies responded, Pollard started running and stripping, the lieutenant said.
Officers eventually handcuffed her nearby. A breath test revealed that she had likely been driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of 0.167.
Paperwork in her car showed that she had just pleaded guilty to DUI in Surprise, Robertson said.
Pollard was booked into a Maricopa County jail on suspicion of extreme DUI, assault, threatening and intimidating and disorderly conduct by fighting.
